The
New Jersey Business & Industry Association,
the nation’s largest state-level business
association with more than 23,000 member companies,
has added David Brogan and Christopher Emigholz
to its Government Affairs staff, Association President
Philip Kirschner announced today.
Brogan, of
Delran, is the new vice president of Environmental
Policy. He will handle all environmental legislation
and regulatory affairs for the Association and
head up NJBIA’s Environmental Network. Emigholz,
of Hightstown, is the new director of Education
Affairs and also will serve as deputy director
of NJBIA’s research affiliate, the New Jersey
Policy Research Organization (NJPRO) Foundation.

Kirschner said. "They are highly capable
people who have the right background to be a tremendous
asset to our members. We are delighted to have
them on board."
Before joining
NJBIA, Brogan was a lobbyist for Capital Public
Affairs Inc., where he represented corporate clients
and associations on a variety of issues including
the environment, taxes, housing, homeland security,
transportation, and licensing. Prior to that,
Brogan served as a senior research associate for
the Senate Republicans and staffed a variety of
standing legislative reference committees including:
the Senate Environment Committee, the Senate State
Government & Financial Institutions Committee,
the Senate Housing & Local Government Committee,
and the Senate Transportation Committee.
Emigholz
comes to NJBIA from the State Senate Republican
Office, where he was a staff aide to both the
Senate Education Committee and Senate Community
& Urban Affairs Committee. He also served
as a research associate for the Senate Republicans.
Emigholz also has a strong background in education.
He served as a classroom teacher in Atlanta.
