Clifford F. Lindholm III, president and CEO of the Falstrom Co. in Passaic, has been named chair of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association Manufacturing Council, NJBIA President Philip Kirschner announced today. (Read profile of Lindholm and the Falstrom Co. in New Jersey Business Magazine.)
As chair of the Manufacturing Council, Lindholm will play a major role in helping to lead the Association's Manufacturing Counts! Campaign for Manufacturing Renewal in New Jersey. The campaign, initiated at a Manufacturing Summit in Newark earlier this year, is intended to call attention and resources to a valuable but vulnerable sector of the state economy that pays above-average benefits and wages to more than 350,000 workers.
The Council itself, which recently held its first meeting, is comprised of the owners and managers of 200 manufacturing facilities across the State. Other manufacturing executives who have joined the Council are Fred Barré, chairman of The Barré Company Inc. in Mountainside; Lisa Hirsh, president and CEO of the Accurate Box Company Inc. in Paterson; and Alexander M. McWilliams II, president of the McWilliams Forge Company Inc. in Rockaway.
"Cliff Lindholm has the practical, hands-on experience needed to bring the manufacturing community together to work on one of the most important initiatives the Association has undertaken," Kirschner said. "Cliff brings energy, experience and focus to the Council, and we are confident he will do a great job."
Lindholm and other members of the Council will be present at NJBIA's Made in New Jersey Day event on Monday, December 13, at the Statehouse in Trenton. At this event, 25 manufacturers from across the State will display their products in the main hall of the Statehouse.
