NJ Paid Family Leave
How Paid Leave Law Impacts NJ Employers |
All NJ employees are now eligible to apply for New Jersey's new six-week paid family leave program.
This section explains how the paid leave law affects NJ businesses and other employers. It also contains detailed information on the new paid leave regulations that all employers must follow.
All NJ employers must comply with NJ's paid leave law, even companies with as few as one employee. To pay for the program, the new law increased payroll taxes on all workers starting January 1, 2009. As of July 1, 2009, all eligible NJ employees can receive up to six weeks of paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child or for a family member's illness. Read NJBIA overview of paid leave. |
